Banana Bread oatmeal recipe
 
 
Words cannot even describe how amazingly delicious and super healthy this oatmeal is . It's the perfect way to start your day !  No extra sweeteners are needed because the super sweet ripe banana is in every bite and topped with sweet organic raisins it's perfect !

Banana Bread Oatmeal

1 serving
 

Ingredients

1/2 cup of rolled oats or quick oats
  ( gluten free certified if you have celiac)
1 banana smashed
1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
1 drop of Young Living Thieves Essential Oil
( optional but it is the secret ingredient that makes the flavors POP )
1 cup of filtered water
1/4 cup of raw walnuts
1 heaping Tablespoon of raisins
 
 
Directions
Place water and oatmeal in a small pan and cook on medium until you reach the consistency you desire ( 3-5 mi )
While your oats are cooking smash you banana in a bowl , add the cinnamon and one drop of thieves . Mix well .
When your oats are done take them off the stove and stir in the banana mixture until it's throughout the oatmeal .
Place the cooked oatmeal into a bowl and top with the raw walnuts and raisins
Enjoy!

You can buy organic oats almost anywhere these days . I buy them in the bulk bin at Whole Foods Market because we eat them almost every morning and I purchase them a couple pounds at a time at only $1.69 per pound ! ( you can purchase small amounts too!) I store them in a glass container in the cabinet as pictured above . Rolled or Steel Cut Oats are the healthiest but if you are short on time or you don't like the thick chewy texture quick oats are just fine .
